Trio Neo, comprising Nemorino Scheliga, Theo Plath, and Aris Alexander Blettenberg, brings together two contrasting chamber masterworks for their debut CD: Mikhail Glinka’s Trio pathétique and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Trio, Op. 38. Written during the same era, the compositions illuminate dramatically different musical visions. Glinka’s piece delivers a passionate, intensely Romantic character, while Beethoven’s work highlights classical clarity, balance, and serene charm. Through this pairing, the ensemble offers a compelling study in stylistic contrast, showcasing both the emotional intensity and refined classical restraint of early 19th-century chamber music.

German clarinetist Nemorino Scheliga (born 1995) has established a dynamic career as a soloist, chamber artist, and orchestral musician. Trained under Norbert Kaiser at the HMDK Stuttgart, he has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the Dortmund Philharmonic and the Dogma Chamber Orchestra. A founding member of the Monet Quintet and member of Trio Neo alongside Theo Plath and Aris Alexander Blettenberg, Scheliga actively performs across prestigious festivals like the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. Currently assistant principal clarinetist of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra, his extensive award record includes first prize at the 2018 International Donau Instrumental Competition.

German bassoonist Theo Plath (born 1994) has served as principal bassoonist of the hr-Sinfonieorchester in Frankfurt since 2018 while building a prominent career as a soloist and chamber musician. Trained under Dag Jensen at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Munich, Plath won third prize at the ARD International Music Competition and has performed solo with ensembles including the Münchener Kammerorchester. A member of the Monet Quintet, he regularly collaborates with leading artists at major festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. His discography features debut concerto recordings with the Deutsche Radiophilharmonie, Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto, and the 2021 duo album lost times with pianist Aris Alexander Blettenberg.

German-Greek pianist, conductor, and composer Aris Alexander Blettenberg (born 1994) received his training in Munich, Hanover, and Salzburg under distinguished mentors including Antti Siirala and Lars Vogt. In 2015, he won the International Hans von Bülow Competition in the "Conducting from the Piano" category, later making his opera conducting debut in 2019 at the Staatstheater Meiningen. A Bösendorfer Artist and recipient of the 2020 Bayerischer Kunstförderpreis, Blettenberg collaborates with renowned artists like Julia Fischer and Christian Tetzlaff. His compositions are performed globally, and he has organized the "Kapellenkonzerte" series in Munich since 2022.
