Bryan Doherty is a versatile Chicago-based composer, songwriter, bassist, and producer involved in diverse musical projects. His work spans genres and platforms, from features in American Songwriter to the video game Watch Dogs. He has composed operas, a ballet, a string quartet, symphonic works, and a piano suite. His Chamber Symphony in D Minor premiered in Chicago in 2024, and in 2025 he was commissioned by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. As a bassist, he has performed globally and recorded with artists like Marquis Hill. Doherty also founded the band Hood Smoke, known for its acclaimed live performances and original music.
