Benjamin Grosvenor explores the depths of Chopin with new album featuring Piano sonatas 2 & 3. Benjamin’s ninth album for Decca classics features two of Chopin’s most profound and contrasting works. Written nearly a decade apart, these masterpieces showcase the range of Chopin’s emotional and musical brilliance. Alongside the sonatas are three shorter works: the dramatic Ballade No.1, the peaceful lullaby Berceuse, and two Nocturnes.

British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor (b. 1992) is internationally celebrated as a soloist and chamber musician with an acclaimed discography on Decca Classics. In the 2024/2025 season, he debuts with NHK Symphony and Dallas Symphony, and performs globally with top orchestras and at major venues like Wigmore Hall and Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. He has appeared with leading orchestras including Cleveland, Leipzig Gewandhaus, and all major London ensembles, frequently performing at the BBC Proms. Grosvenor is also an avid chamber musician and premiered Brett Dean’s Hommage à Liszt in 2024. He actively supports music education through the charity Music Masters.
