Luka & Leo Ispir are a French brother duo—violinist Luka Ispir and cellist Leo Ispir—gaining attention for their exceptional technical skill and rich musicality. They are active across various music festivals and concerts throughout Europe.
Luka Ispir, a young French violinist, drew acclaim after competing in the 2024 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition. His performances of works by Bach, Schumann, Enescu, and Szymanowski were praised for their technical precision and expressive depth.
Born in 2002, Leo Ispir began playing the cello at age seven. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMD) and, since 2023, has been studying under Gary Hoffman at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium. He has performed in countries including France, Turkey, the U.S., Ukraine, and Georgia, and has won multiple international competition prizes.
This album showcases a diverse program, blending masterpieces by Bach and Mozart with a tribute to Ravel’s iconic Sonata for Violin and Cello. It also features the world premiere recording of Street of Memories, Op. 115 by Turkish composer and pianist Fazil Say.
