Misael Barraza Díaz, a classical guitarist from Hermosillo, Sonora, is one of Mexico’s leading guitarists of his generation. He holds master’s degrees from the University of Alicante and the University of Arizona, where he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts. He has studied with renowned artists such as David Russell and the Assad brothers. Misael has won over 20 first prizes in major international competitions and toured Europe as a EuroStrings Artist. He has also received numerous academic honors and awards, earning recognition for both his virtuosic performances and academic excellence.
