Vivaldi? The Four Seasons is certainly the first association that comes to mind. Ever since the concertos were rediscovered in 1947 after years of obscurity, their popularity has remained consistently high. The cycles by Piazzolla and Richter are also frequently performed.

So, is it possible to offer something new with regard to such widely explored works? It turns out that it still is. Both the accordion and the saxophone are still rarely used as solo concert instruments, and their combination is even rarer. As a result, these well-known compositions take on a new face, surprising with the appeal of their sound and captivating with virtuosic flair. Tango, Baroque, minimalism – this instrumental pairing can rise to any challenge.

All the pieces on this album are presented in original transcriptions by the Muras/Brzezina Duo and are making their official recording debut here. Of particular note is the concept of interweaving individual movements from three different seasonal cycles. Thanks to this, the musical landscape constantly appears in new colors – just like in nature, whose ever-changing conditions have inspired artists for centuries.
