Jean-Yves Thibaudet (b. 1961) is a celebrated French pianist renowned for his interpretations of French classical music and opera transcriptions, as well as his ventures into jazz. He studied at the Conservatoire de Lyon and the Conservatoire de Paris with Aldo Ciccolini and Lucette Descaves. Thibaudet has performed with leading orchestras worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, and London Symphony Orchestra, and in top concert halls across Europe, North America, and Asia. He has recorded over 50 albums, primarily with Decca Records, including the complete solo piano works of Erik Satie.
