Swiss-Russian pianist Konstantin Scherbakov (b. 1963) is internationally recognized for his artistry, versatility, and technical mastery. He has recorded over 50 albums, including complete works by Godowsky, Shostakovich, and Respighi, and earned acclaim for Liszt’s transcriptions of Beethoven’s symphonies, with the Ninth receiving the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in 2005. Scherbakov has performed in 35 countries and at major festivals such as Salzburg and Lucerne, collaborating with over 70 orchestras and renowned conductors. A respected educator and juror, he teaches at Zurich University of the Arts and serves on international competition panels, cementing his status as a leading pianist of his generation.
