The 48th PTNA Piano Competition Special Grade Final was held in August 2024. Six months after those passionate performances, the four finalists reunited for a one-night-only "Special Grade Gala Concert," weaving a unique musical story. This album features outstanding performances from both the gala concert and the "Prizewinner Commemorative Concert." The gala showcases rich and supple Romantic sounds, centered on works by Chopin and Schumann. The album also includes Grand Prix winner Anka Minami’s rendition of Liszt’s Totentanz (Paraphrase on "Dies Irae") from the prizewinner concert. Each performance is filled with individuality and expressive depth, quietly touching the listener’s heart. This is a remarkable album where maturity and freshness coexist, presented by some of Japan’s leading young pianists.
