Domenico Ferrari (1722–1780) was a celebrated 18th-century Italian violinist and composer, known across Europe for his virtuosity and artistry. A distinguished pupil of Tartini, he rose to prominence at the imperial court in Vienna and later in Stuttgart. His 1754 Paris debut at the Concert Spirituel led to a decade-long royal privilege to publish his music in France, where he lived until his death. During his Paris years, Ferrari published six collections of violin sonatas with continuo. Featured on this album, his Op. 3 (1760) reflects a stylistic transition between the late Baroque and early Classical periods.
Artem Dzeganovskyi, born in Kyiv, began violin studies at age five and earned his diploma in 2012 from the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music of Ukraine. After postgraduate work and experience with the National Opera Orchestra of Ukraine, he moved to Italy to specialize in Baroque violin, studying with leading figures such as Stefano Montanari and Olivia Centurioni. He has performed in international orchestras and festivals and is the founder of Art-Offertorium, a chamber ensemble devoted to Baroque and Classical repertoire. He also co-founded Trio Fontana and Quartetto Lichnowsky, and collaborates with prominent period ensembles across Europe.
