Founded in 2009 by artistic director David Friedemann Strunck, Oslo Kammerakademi performs chamber music for winds inspired by the historical Harmoniemusik tradition. Using period brass instruments, the ensemble brings authenticity to music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras. Now recognized as one of Europe’s leading wind ensembles, it has earned critical acclaim for its recordings and performances. Oslo Kammerakademi’s mission is to explore the full breadth of Harmonie repertoire, from its Viennese origins in the 1780s to contemporary works, blending historical insight with artistic vitality.
