Georgi Dimitrov-Jojo is an award-winning guitarist, recipient of the first European Bach Guitar Award and The Musicians’ Company New Elizabethan Award, with an active international solo career. His Linn debut recording, Tales of Being, brings together two composers separated by nearly four centuries: John Dowland and Hans Werner Henze. Dowland’s introspective melancholy resonates with Henze’s Shakespeare-inspired musical portraits, which explore sorrow, suffering, hope, and love. The pairing forms a compelling dialogue across time and represents a distinctive contribution to the Royal Academy of Music Bicentenary Series.

Georgi Dimitrov-Jojo is a Bulgarian classical guitarist with an international career shaped by elite European training and major competition success. Educated in Sofia, Graz, and London, he earned his master’s degree with distinction from the Royal Academy of Music, receiving top recital and bicentenary awards. Winner of more than twenty international competitions, he became the first recipient of the European Bach Guitar Award and has appeared at leading venues including Wigmore Hall and Bachfest Leipzig. His debut Bach album for Naxos and an upcoming Linn recording reflect his innovative programming and growing impact on the UK and international classical music scene.
