Founded in the 15th century by King Henry VI, the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge is one of the world’s most renowned choral groups. Known globally for its annual Christmas Eve broadcast A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, aired by the BBC since 1928, the Choir continues its tradition of daily sung services in the college chapel. It comprises 16 choristers from King’s College School and 14 choral scholars and two organ scholars from the University of Cambridge. The Choir has nurtured many successful singers and regularly tours internationally, supported by an acclaimed recording legacy.
