Alban Beikircher and the ensemble L'Estro Armonico open the new year with a new recording of The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi. The album also features the Sinfonia in C Major from the opera La Griselda (RV 718) for strings and harpsichord. Recorded in the Bibliotheksaal of the Landesakademie for Young Musicians in Ochsenhausen, Munich—renowned for its exceptional acoustics—the production presents a fresh and distinctive interpretation of Vivaldi’s celebrated masterpiece.

Alban Beikircher (born 1968 in Bruneck, South Tyrol) studied with Joshua Epstein in Saarbrücken and in the soloist class of Yfrah Neaman at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He has performed extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, appearing as a soloist with leading orchestras including the Münchener Sinfoniker and Münchener Kammerorchester. Beikircher has played at major venues and festivals such as the Gasteig Munich and Philharmonie Essen. A dedicated chamber musician and advocate of contemporary music, he has premiered numerous works and received cultural awards for his artistic initiatives. He performs on a violin by Martin Schleske.
