The Orchestra dell'Angellicum di Milano was a chamber orchestra founded in the early 1950s in Milan, Italy. Active primarily during the 1950s and early 1960s, it was initially directed by Aladar Janes and later led by renowned cellist and conductor Antonio Janigro from 1965 to 1967. The orchestra developed a strong recording profile, focusing on a wide repertoire spanning Baroque, Classical, and Romantic composers, including Albinoni, Corelli, Haydn, Mozart, Vivaldi, and Tchaikovsky, as well as Italian composers such as Respighi and Rossini. All recordings were released under the Angelicum label, contributing to its lasting legacy.
