With Talisman, Élise Bertrand presents her second monographic album, distinguished by its luminous artistic unity. A composer and violinist nominated for the Victoires de la Musique Classique, she brings together eight years of creative work shaped at the intersection of poetry, language, and sound. These compositions—ranging from settings inspired by Paul Éluard to the evocative soundscapes of Psalmodie—form interconnected facets of a single artistic vision. Joined by esteemed collaborators including Adèle Charvet, Emmanuelle Demuyter, Raphaël Sévère, Nathanaël Gouin, and Les Métaboles under Léo Warynski, Bertrand creates a refined musical universe where text and sound merge into an intimate, talismanic expression.

Born in 2000, Élise Bertrand is a French violinist and composer whose dual career unites performance and creation. Trained in Toulon and Paris, she earned Master’s degrees in violin and chamber music at the CNSMDP while pursuing advanced studies in composition. Appointed Artist in Residence at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in 2022, she has received numerous distinctions, including Second Prize at the Ginette Neveu International Competition and a 2024 Victoires de la Musique nomination. A committed advocate of contemporary repertoire, she performs internationally as soloist and chamber musician. Published by Billaudot and Klarthe, her works are widely broadcast and commissioned. She performs on an 1796 Joseph Gagliano violin.
