Michelangelo Rossi (1602–1656) was an Italian early Baroque composer, violinist, and organist, active in Genoa and Rome and a pupil of Girolamo Frescobaldi. Renowned for his virtuosity, he served at the court of Cardinal Maurizio of Savoy and at St. Peter’s Basilica. Rossi’s surviving keyboard works, notably his Toccatas and Correntes, exemplify and extend the Frescobaldian tradition. The Toccatas are marked by sharp contrasts, improvisatory freedom, and daring chromatic harmony, while the Correntes adopt dance-based forms enriched by subtle expressive and harmonic refinement.

Manuel Tomadin (born 1977 in Gorizia) is an Italian organist and harpsichordist specializing in Renaissance and Baroque repertoire. He holds degrees with highest honors in piano, organ, organ composition, and harpsichord, and pursued advanced studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Active as a soloist and ensemble musician across Europe, he has recorded extensively on historic organs, receiving critical acclaim and international awards. Tomadin teaches organ and harpsichord at the Tartini Conservatory in Trieste and is artistic director of major organ and early music festivals.
