Gemini Duo, consisting of twin accordionists Wanxu and Wanchen Zhao, formed in China and has been based in Copenhagen since 2019. They are currently studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music under Professor Geir Draugsvoll. The duo is known for performing original accordion works as well as reimagining classical pieces through transcription, blending tradition with innovation. Their new album, Morning Echoes, features creative duo arrangements of works by Grieg, Borodin, Boëllmann, and Piazzolla. With numerous international competition wins, Gemini Duo has performed at prestigious venues worldwide and is praised for their virtuosic performances and unique twin connection, performing without sheet music.
