Ensemble Rossignol is a Dutch duo formed in 1998, comprising soprano and recorder player Alice Gort-Switynk and chitarrone and guitarist Elly van Munster. Known for refined and expressive performances reminiscent of a nightingale’s song, the ensemble has appeared regularly throughout the Netherlands and released four recordings. Their program Dansend Avondrood features works by composers including Luigi Rossi, Barbara Strozzi, Georg Philipp Telemann, and Franz Schubert. Both musicians maintain active careers as performers and educators, with extensive training and experience in early and classical music traditions.
