Tomoko Kawada is a Japanese violinist who graduated at the top of her class from Tokyo University of the Arts. A prizewinner of the 5th Spohr International Violin Competition in 1991, she has built an international career as a soloist, concertmaster, chamber musician, and educator. She has performed with major orchestras in Japan and abroad and has appeared in recitals across Europe and the Middle East. Kawada is also active in chamber collaborations and festivals, and has released 12 CDs on the Meister Music label. She currently teaches at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and Tokyo University of the Arts.
