In Reflections on Chopin, Olga Chelova presents a deeply personal interpretation of Frédéric Chopin’s complete études, conceived as a unified artistic cycle. Drawing on lifelong engagement with these works, she reimagines them as a symbolic “model of the universe,” where each piece reflects aspects of human existence. Influenced by Johann Sebastian Bach and the poetry of Boris Pasternak, Chelova blends technical brilliance with philosophical depth. Her interpretation emphasizes continuity, expressive nuance, and narrative cohesion, offering a profound exploration of time, emotion, and transcendence through Chopin’s music.

Odessa-born pianist Olga Chelova is distinguished by her technical brilliance, poetic imagination, and interpretive depth. Trained at the renowned Stolyarsky School and later in Hanover, Salzburg, and Weimar under Professor Grigory Gruzman, she launched her international career at seventeen with a performance of Johannes Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2. A laureate of over twenty international competitions, she has appeared in major European venues and collaborated with leading conductors. Her acclaimed debut album earned multiple Opus Klassik nominations. Also active as a chamber musician, composer, and festival founder, Chelova combines artistic excellence with a strong humanistic vision, exemplified in her interpretations of Frédéric Chopin.
