Soprano Hannah De Priest makes her recording debut with the early music ensemble Les Délices on Arcadian Dreams, an album of Baroque secular cantatas and instrumental works. Inspired by the pastoral ideals of Greek mythology and the intellectual vibrancy of the 1690 Arcadian Academy in Rome, the program features composers such as Thomas-Louis Bourgeois, Louis Antoine Lefebvre, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Domenico Scarlatti, and George Frideric Handel. Through a blend of bucolic imagery, mythological narratives, and virtuosic instrumental writing, De Priest and Les Délices bring these rediscovered works to life, offering a vivid and elegant exploration of Baroque secular music for modern audiences.

Hannah De Priest is a dynamic lyric soprano acclaimed for her versatile and expressive performances across opera, Baroque, and concert repertoire. Praised as a “breakout artist” by the Boston Globe with “a voice that is theater itself” (Classique News), she has appeared at the Kennedy Center, Innsbruck Early Music Festival, and Boston Early Music Festival, and is slated for 2023–24 debuts with Chicago Opera Theater, Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, and Haymarket Opera. Renowned for her Baroque interpretations, she has performed with Les Délices, The Newberry Consort, and Madison Bach Musicians, and collaborates with pianist Michael Pecak on song repertoire spanning centuries. A decorated competition artist, De Priest is a laureate of the Luminarts Cultural Foundation and prizewinner at the International Cesti Competition.
