Elena Somarè and Mats Hedberg present a refined reinterpretation of renowned Neapolitan songs through an evocative dialogue between classical guitar and whistle. Hedberg establishes a rich, immersive harmonic foundation, while Somarè introduces a distinctive and poetic layer, drawing on the whistle’s ancestral qualities to evoke deep emotional resonance. Together, they bridge tradition and innovation, offering fresh sonic perspectives on a timeless repertoire. This project not only honors the cultural heritage of Neapolitan music but also expands its expressive boundaries, demonstrating how classical forms can be revitalized through thoughtful collaboration and inventive musical exploration.
