This album explores the music of Franz Liszt and Johannes Brahms as a journey of spiritual and emotional transformation, presenting art as a source of healing and renewal. The program combines Liszt’s virtuosic Transcendental Études, the lyrical Sonetto 104 del Petrarca, and the contemplative Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude with Brahms’ intimate Variations on a Theme by Schumann, Op. 9. Together, these works trace a broad emotional arc, moving from turmoil and introspection toward serenity and transcendence. Through contrasts of brilliance, lyricism, and reflection, the album highlights music’s enduring capacity to illuminate struggle, inspire resilience, and guide listeners from darkness toward spiritual light.
