Ensemble Micrologus is one of Italy’s most enduring and influential groups dedicated to the revival of medieval music, celebrating over forty years of activity. Founded in 1984 by Umbrian musicians Patrizia Bovi, Goffredo Degli Esposti, Gabriele Russo, and Adolfo Broegg, the ensemble has produced more than sixty performances and recorded twenty-eight CDs, earning several prestigious awards. Micrologus regularly performs at major European festivals and international venues across North America, Asia, and beyond. Known for combining rigorous historical research with an engaging and accessible style, the ensemble blends vocal polyphony with diverse instrumental colors. Its artistic collaborations extend to theatre, film, and dance, including the soundtrack for the Oscar-winning film Mediterraneo.
