Founded in 2016, the Sypniewski Trio, comprising sisters Magdalena, Anna, and Caroline, explores both the historical roots of the string trio and their own artistic origins in their debut album Origines. The program spans a wide stylistic range, from Purcell’s intimate fantasias performed with historically informed sensitivity to trios by Sibelius and Beethoven, notably the innovative Op. 9 No. 3. It also includes Kaija Saariaho’s evocative Cloud Trio. Through this diverse repertoire, the ensemble highlights the balance between individuality and unity, delivering performances marked by technical precision, expressive depth, and a strong sense of shared musical purpose.
