Luciano Berio characterized Ghedini as both a great musician and a solitary, unconventional figure whose significance would eventually be recognized. Today, that reassessment is largely complete, aided by recordings that have made much of his work accessible, though some pieces remain overlooked. Critical reception has fluctuated due to his steadfast independence: while attentive to contemporary developments, he resisted alignment with any school, adopting only elements consistent with his personal aesthetic. His music emphasizes substance and expressive purpose, supported by exceptional technical mastery. Drawing inspiration from sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Italian composers and Bach, Ghedini forged a distinctive bridge between early traditions and modern musical language.

Founded in 2024, Trio Vasari draws inspiration from Giorgio Vasari’s artistic legacy, aiming to narrate composers’ lives through music while reflecting a shared connection to Florence. The ensemble—violinist Sara Pastine, cellist Natania Hoffman, and pianist Giulia Contaldo—evolved from the award-winning Pastine–Contaldo Duo, established in 2016, which performed widely at prominent festivals in Italy and abroad and completed advanced studies in Vienna. In 2024, all three musicians secured conservatory professorships in Perugia, Modena, and Udine. Their recent and upcoming seasons include engagements with Gioventù Musicale in Modena, the Mozart Festival in Verona, and a series of performances and CD presentation concerts.
