Pianist Lei Meng, born in Harbin, China in 1991, received her musical training in Beijing before continuing her studies in Salzburg and Paris under renowned teachers. She completed her master’s degree with honours at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and pursued further postgraduate and pedagogical studies. Meng has built a distinguished academic career, teaching in Bavaria and Salzburg, where she became a senior lecturer, later completing her habilitation and being appointed Professor of Piano in 2024/25. An award-winning performer, she has appeared internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, and her discography includes recordings ranging from Scarlatti to Bach, reflecting her broad artistic scope.
