Letters from Paris is classical guitarist Alexandra Whittingham’s debut full-length album with Decca, celebrating the timeless allure of Paris—a city long romanticized by poets, artists, and musicians. Through music inspired by France’s most iconic figures, Whittingham captures the city’s nostalgia and beauty, from tender, melancholic pieces to the soaring melodies of French chansons. The album evokes the magic of Parisian life—strolling the Champs-Elysées, savoring coffee in Montmartre, and gazing upon the Seine—inviting listeners to reflect, dream, and be transported by its atmosphere of romance and hope.

Alexandra Whittingham studied classical and jazz guitar, piano, and composition at Chetham’s School of Music before earning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she graduated with first-class honours, a master’s degree with distinction, and multiple awards. Her debut album My European Journey (2021) explores 19th-century European guitar music and reached No. 1 on the iTunes Classical Chart. With over 260,000 YouTube subscribers and 38 million views, she has built a global audience, leading to international performances across Europe and the Caribbean, as well as appearances at major UK venues and with several orchestras.
