Hugo Rignold (1905–1976) was an English conductor and violinist who played a significant role in British musical life during the mid-20th century. After beginning his career as a jazz violinist in the 1920s and 1930s, he transitioned to classical music during the Second World War. Rignold went on to hold प्रमुख positions, including principal conductor of the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, musical director of the Royal Ballet, and principal conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Known for his professionalism and technical command, he contributed notably to both ballet and symphonic repertoire, bridging popular and classical traditions throughout his career.
