Following a celebrated appearance at the Royal Albert Hall during the BBC Proms with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Domingo Hindoyan, this recording highlights the strong musical partnership between the two, rooted in their shared history with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. Pacho Flores (b. 1981) is a Venezuelan virtuoso who has earned international acclaim for his expressive tone, technical brilliance, and ability to blend classical tradition with Latin American and jazz influences. He trained through El Sistema and rose to prominence as principal trumpet of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, later performing worldwide as a soloist in major venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. His close artistic partnership with conductor Domingo Hindoyan and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra has been widely praised, including at the BBC Proms. As a composer, Flores contributes works such as Albares, featured alongside concertos by Sierra and Ortiz, showcasing vibrant, rhythm-driven Latin American orchestral writing.
