Timothy Ridout (born 1995) is a leading British violist with an active international career spanning solo, orchestral, and chamber music. Highlights of his 2024/25 season include the world premiere of Mark Simpson’s Viola Concerto in Berlin, alongside performances of major works by Bartók, Walton, and Mozart with prominent orchestras worldwide. He has appeared with ensembles such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with distinguished conductors including Sir Simon Rattle. A dedicated chamber musician, he performs at major venues and festivals across Europe and beyond. An award-winning recording artist, Ridout is recognized for his expressive depth, technical refinement, and wide-ranging repertoire.
Jonathan Ware (born 1984) is an American pianist, Lied accompanist, and academic teacher based in Berlin, where he teaches at the Hochschule Hanns Eisler and the Barenboim-Said Academy. He is also active as a mentor at major training institutions and festivals including Verbier. Awarded prizes at international song competitions such as Das Lied and Wigmore Hall, he is widely recognized for his refined and expressive collaborative piano work. Ware appears regularly at leading international venues, partnering with prominent singers and instrumentalists across a broad repertoire. His collaborations include acclaimed projects such as This Be Her Verse, and his discography reflects a strong focus on vocal and chamber music.
