Chinese pianist Yutian Yang, winner of the 11th Tchaikovsky International Youth Competition, makes her recording debut with a program centered on transformation and self-discovery. Spanning Czerny’s lyrical La Ricordanza, Liszt’s transcription of Wagner’s Isolde’s Liebestod, and Zhou Long’s Wu Kui, the album traces a thread of reinvention across diverse styles and eras. Through performances marked by poetic clarity and expressive boldness, Yang reveals a compelling artistic voice. The recording highlights her remarkable maturity, presenting music as a process of renewal shaped by memory, imagination, and creative reinterpretation.

Yutian Yang is a rising Chinese pianist recognized for her expressive artistry and growing international presence. A student of Professor William Chen at the Middle School Affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, she has performed across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and China, appearing at major venues and festivals including KotorArt and Jordan Hall. Her orchestral highlights include Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and the Yellow River Piano Concerto under Xu Zhong. A prizewinner at major competitions, including the 11th Tchaikovsky International Youth Music Competition, she is noted for her clarity, imagination, and emotional depth.
