The organ built by Vincenzo Colombi in the Duomo of Valvasone, constructed between 1532 and 1533, stands as a remarkable example of the sixteenth-century Venetian organ-building tradition. Commissioned by the Counts of Valvasone, it was housed in an elaborate wooden case and enriched by leading Friulian artists, including Girolamo da Venezia and Giovanni Antonio de’ Sacchi, with later contributions by Pomponio Amalteo. Its decoration centers on the Eucharistic mystery, aligning with the cathedral’s dedication to Corpus Domini, and situates the organ within a unified devotional setting where music, visual art, and liturgy interact harmoniously.

Manuel Tomadin is a highly accomplished musician trained in piano, organ, organ composition, and harpsichord, graduating with top honors and completing advanced studies in Udine and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Specializing in Renaissance and Baroque performance practice, he combines scholarly research with historical instruments. Tomadin has maintained an active international concert career and collaborated with early music ensembles, notably Terg Antiqua. He has recorded extensively on historic European organs, earning critical acclaim and award nominations. A prizewinner in numerous national and international competitions, he currently teaches in Trieste and serves as a church organist, continuing his distinguished artistic career.
