To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, the Verbier Festival has released a commemorative album under its VF Gold label in collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon. Founded in 2006, the orchestra serves as a global ambassador for the festival, performing in leading concert halls and comprising distinguished alumni who hold positions in top international ensembles. Under the direction of Gábor Takács-Nagy, it regularly collaborates with world-renowned soloists. The anniversary album showcases the orchestra’s legacy through performances led by prominent conductors, highlighting its artistic excellence and longstanding contributions to the international classical music scene.

Founded in 2005 in Verbier, Switzerland, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra (VFCO) is composed of alumni from the Verbier Festival Orchestra and serves as the festival’s resident chamber ensemble. Since 2006, it has performed annually at the Verbier Festival, collaborating with renowned soloists and appearing at major venues across Europe and beyond. Under the musical direction of Gábor Takács-Nagy, the orchestra has undertaken international tours, notable recording projects, and residencies, including performances at Schloss Elmau. Recognized for its artistic excellence, the VFCO also plays a key role in the Verbier Festival’s commitment to orchestral training and the development of young musicians.
