Rustem Khamidullin is a Russian cellist born in Ufa in 1989. He graduated from the Secondary Special Music College and the Gnesins Russian Academy under Professor Vladimir Tonkh, and later studied at the Lausanne Higher Music School with Professor Ivan Monighetti. He is currently continuing his studies at the Stuttgart Musical Academy under Professor Conradin Brotbek. Khamidullin has earned recognition at numerous international competitions, including victories in Moscow, New Zealand, Saratov, and Ufa, as well as prize-winning performances in the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Armenia. He also gained orchestral experience through traineeships with the Basel Symphony Orchestra and the German South-West Radio Symphony Orchestra.
