Moritz Winkelmann is an internationally acclaimed pianist recognized for his expressive artistry and distinguished interpretations of Beethoven. A prizewinner of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn, he has performed with renowned musicians including Itzhak Perlman and Arabella Steinbacher, and has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras across Europe and the United States. Winkelmann is currently recording all 32 Beethoven piano sonatas, a critically praised project released by Berlin Classics and Hänssler Classic, earning multiple Opus Klassik nominations. Educated in Mannheim and at the Peabody Conservatory under Leon Fleisher, he is now Professor of Piano at the Stuttgart University of Music and remains active internationally as a performer, educator, and artistic director.
