Pianist Charlotte Hu presents Goyescas, a PENTATONE album featuring Enrique Granados’ monumental suite alongside two Spanish Dances. Inspired by the paintings of Francisco Goya, the six-movement masterwork navigates a richly poetic world of dramatic contrasts, ranging from the playful charm of "Los requiebros" to the profound emotional depth of "El amor y la muerte." Hu masterfully navigates the suite's virtuosic brilliance, modern harmonic language, and intimate storytelling. The program is complemented by the introspective "Oriental" and the vibrant, guitar-inflected "Andaluza," showcasing Granados' expressive range. This release marks Hu's second album for the label, following her 2024 debut, Liszt: Metamorphosis.

Taiwanese American pianist Charlotte Hu is globally acclaimed for her dazzling virtuosity and magnetic stage presence, performing as a soloist at prestigious international venues and with premier orchestras. A prize winner of the Arthur Rubinstein and Concert Artists Guild competitions, she has built a celebrated career that includes a diverse, critically acclaimed discography with labels like PENTATONE. Hu is also a prominent musical entrepreneur, founding the bi-continental PYPA and Yun-Hsiang piano festivals. A dedicated educator and Steinway Artist, she balances a rigorous global touring schedule with roles as an associate professor at Boston Conservatory and artist in residence at Temple University.
