Violinist Paul Huang has released his new album, Korngold, Barber: Violin Concertos, on the naïve classiques label. Recorded in collaboration with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Jun Märkl, the release commemorates the 250th anniversary of America's founding. The album pairs two monumental twentieth-century American concertos, which Huang characterizes as luscious, intimate, and highly melodic. According to Huang, the works represent complementary dimensions of American musical identity: Korngold’s piece represents a cinematic fusion of European Romanticism adapted for Hollywood, while Barber's offers a homegrown, direct, and lyrical American voice. Together, they trace the cultural narrative of a diverse nation.

Taiwanese-born violinist Paul Huang is internationally recognized as one of the most distinctive artists of his generation. A Juilliard alumnus and recipient of prestigious honors, including the Avery Fisher Career Grant, Huang performs on the legendary 1742 “ex-Wieniawski” Guarneri del Gesù. Highly sought after for his luscious tone and immaculate technique, he has debuted with elite global ensembles like the Rotterdam Philharmonic and NHK Symphony. An exclusive Naïve Records artist, his acclaimed discography includes his recent release featuring the Korngold and Barber concertos. Huang's upcoming schedule highlights a Carnegie Hall debut, a return to the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and directing his chamber music festival in Taipei.
