Michael Tsalka is an internationally acclaimed musician and educator whose versatile performance repertoire spans from the late Renaissance to contemporary eras. Holding a D.M.A. from Temple University, Dr. Tsalka currently serves as a professor at CUHK, Shenzhen, alongside holding prestigious global appointments, including membership in the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and chairmanship at the European Fortepiano Museum. Maintaining a rigorous schedule of up to ninety concerts annually, he performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician. His prolific discography features over forty celebrated albums, including this Schubert-focused release, La Escondida, Tsalka’s first release on the Rattle label.
