_____________________
Luxembourg pianist Francesco Tristano continues his Bach recording journey with the naïve label by releasing the complete six French Suites (BWV 812–817). Moving away from the broader, trumpet-like textures of his 2025 English Suites collection, Tristano adopts a warm, soft, and intimate sonic approach to highlight the quiet beauty and compressed density of these works. The French Suites feature spare, ingenuous writing that conceals a complex chemistry of contrasts. In this recording, Tristano notably performs a revised version of the E-major suite, prefacing its diverse Baroque dances with a prelude from The Well-Tempered Clavier.
