Jill Haley’s album Pastoral Reflections explores the ethereal, dreamlike allure of nature through an intimately immersive compositional process. As an Artist in Residence within America’s national parks, Haley lived amidst the landscapes that inspired her, translating their serene and awe-inspiring beauty directly into music. The album features two original works, National Parks Suite #1 and National Parks Suite #2, which masterfully capture the essence of untouched wilderness. Complemented by Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, the collection highlights a profound artistic presence while serving as a timeless testament to nature's perennial, shaping influence on musical expression.
Oboist, English horn player, pianist, and composer Jill Haley crafts serene chamber music inspired by her ten tenures as an Artist-in-Residence at various United States National Parks. A long-time collaborator of producer Will Ackerman and a member of the trio One Alternative, Haley actively tours and presents multimedia concerts. Acclaimed by critics for her warm tone and evocative, liminal melodies, her nature-driven music enjoys extensive global broadcasting.
