Founded in 1996 by Paris Conservatoire graduates, Quatuor Diotima derives its name from both German Romanticism and Luigi Nono's modern masterwork. Renowned for collaborating with twentieth-century masters and commissioning contemporary composers, the ensemble simultaneously reinterprets Romantic and modern repertoire. Their extensive, award-winning Pentatone discography features definitive recordings of Ligeti, Boulez, and upcoming June 2026 releases of late Beethoven quartets. Based in France's Grand Est region, the quartet maintains a strong commitment to pedagogy through global masterclasses and its signature academy. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the internationally touring ensemble is currently launching a prestigious residency at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
