Michel Lysight, born in 1958, is a prominent Belgian-Canadian composer, conductor, and educator who stands as a major figure in New Consonant Music. An alumnus of the Royal Brussels Conservatory and the Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Mons, Lysight has secured numerous prestigious accolades, including the Irène Fuérison Prize and the Trophée Fuga. His catalogue features around one hundred recorded works, and in 1991, he founded the ensemble Nouvelles Consonances to promote his musical vision. Currently, Lysight serves as a professor at the Royal Brussels Conservatory and frequently conducts international masterclasses and residencies.

Ronald van Spaendonck is an internationally acclaimed Belgian clarinetist celebrated for his exceptional control and subtle musical shading. A former BBC New Generation Artist, he has performed with top-tier orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic and the Orchestre National de Belgique, at prestigious global venues like the Concertgebouw and the Musikverein. Van Spaendonck studied under prominent masters and secured numerous first prizes at international competitions, including the Seville and Eindhoven clarinet competitions. An active chamber musician, he frequently collaborates with renowned string quartets and prominent soloists, establishing a distinguished international performing and recording career.
