Dr. Samuel Magrill is an accomplished composer, pianist, and educator who has served as a music theory and composition professor at the University of Central Oklahoma since 1988. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Illinois, Magrill has created over one hundred diverse musical works—including operas, electro-acoustic pieces, and orchestral compositions—which have been performed globally. His career is distinguished by numerous awards, grants, and commissions from prestigious organizations like the National Endowment for the Arts. Additionally, Magrill's creative reach extends into cross-cultural collaboration, notably producing introductory materials on the music of India and performing internationally.
