Acclaimed violinist Yookyung Kang, a graduate of the prestigious Korea National University of Arts doctoral program, is recognized for her warm tone and delicate interpretations. Since her 2007 debut at the Kumho Gifted Concert, she has built an illustrious career, winning major awards including the 2019 KBS KEPCO Music Competition Grand Prize and the Shinhan Music Award. Formerly the concertmaster of Conferrocamerata, Kang has performed globally with elite ensembles like the Berlin and Prague Radio Symphony Orchestras. Currently supported by the Kumho Cultural Foundation, she remains an active, premier soloist and chamber musician, recently winning the 2022 Jeju International Chamber Music Competition.
