Rupert Egerton-Smith is an acclaimed pianist and composer whose unorthodox trajectory from an Oxford history graduate and corporate strategy consultant to a concert artist is remarkable. After winning the Bradshaw & Buono International Competition, which sparked his Carnegie Hall debut, he transitioned fully to music in 2020. Since then, he has performed at premier global venues, served as Artist-in-Residence with the Orchestra of St John’s, and performed for royalty. Celebrated for his technical mastery and narrative-driven programming, the newly appointed Steinway Artist released his Water & Fire album in June 2026, alongside an active career scoring for major media like Disney and the BBC.
