Born in Salamanca, Spain, guitarist and musicologist Jesús Ángel began as a self-taught musician before earning a doctorate in music and a higher degree in guitar. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has taught and performed across Europe, including in England, France, and Germany. He primarily plays a unique 1987 prototype artisan guitar crafted by Madrid luthier Matías Pablo de la Cruz, whose warm, deep character complements his intimate approach to classical guitar and jazz. Today, he focuses entirely on recording and performing from his personal studio, distributing his music internationally via digital platforms.
