Morphing Landscapes presents a transformative exploration of J.S. Bach’s music, reimagining classic works through modern timbral perspectives and spontaneous dialogue. Beginning with Robert Schumann’s piano accompaniments for Bach’s Cello Suites, the project transposes these compositions for the trombone, enriching their sonic palette using specialized mutes alongside 20th-century electro-acoustic instruments like the Wurlitzer, Fender Rhodes, and Hammond Organ. Extending this approach to works by Eugène Bozza written in homage to Bach, the ensemble continuously reshapes texture and color, offering a fresh, contemporary reinterpretation that highlights the evolving possibilities of sound transformation over time.

Italian trombonist Rocco Rescigno, born in 1992, serves as principal trombonist of the Duisburg Philharmonic – Deutsche Oper am Rhein and lectures at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Following studies at the Conservatory of Udine and the Berlin University of the Arts, he completed a prestigious fellowship with the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. Rescigno regularly guest-performs with leading European orchestras, including the Munich Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Dedicated to contemporary repertoire, he has premiered over forty works and gained wide acclaim as a soloist, notably for his performance of Henri Tomasi's Trombone Concerto.

Italian pianist, arranger, and educator Rudy Fantin earned degrees with honors in classical piano from the Udine Conservatory and jazz piano from the Klagenfurt Conservatory. A versatile concert performer and recording artist with over 70 album credits, Fantin has toured extensively across Europe and internationally. He currently serves as Musical Director for Chicago-born vocalist Cheryl Porter and The NuVoices Project, having previously directed the FVG Gospel Choir for 15 years. Throughout his career, Fantin has collaborated with prominent international figures across jazz, gospel, and pop, including Stevie Wonder, Noa, Ian Paice, Donald Lawrence, and the Swingle Singers.
