Renowned British violinist Thomas Bowes (b. 1960) has established a distinguished multi-faceted career encompassing orchestral leadership, chamber performance, solo recordings, and over 300 major film credits. A student of Bela Katona, Bowes co-founded the Maggini String Quartet and served as concertmaster for the London Mozart Players before pursuing guest-led projects worldwide with ensembles like the London Symphony Orchestra. Celebrated for his communicative depth, he gained critical acclaim for his "Bach Pilgrimages" across the UK and celebrated recordings of solo works by Bach, Ysaÿe, and Telemann. Bowes performs on a 1659 Nicolò Amati violin and actively champions new music alongside his wife, composer Eleanor Alberga.
